"Life can be good. It's what you can learn over time, even when bad situation's keep piling up. It's what Charlie/Cutter and Jeremy learned. During their time with the animal's around them and finding a new home, they've gained new friend's, learned new thing's, even got a room with cool bunk bed's they and their friends can share. But what surprised them is when Luke and Cheryl asked them to come to their room.

They said they noticed they were down, mostly Jeremy more so with everything reminding him of his lost family and Cutter feeling the same thing and getting too into the work of setting up supplies and killing the dead, thought they could use a break. They also noticed that Jeremy would get close to the former soldier and cop, as their kindness drew the Golden Retriever into their lives and activities and the strength and support drew the wolf pup to them as well. So, they decided on a friendly poker game between the four of them. Winner gets the snack cookies and chip's.

The four sat on the giant bed and played for what must have been a couple of hour's, talking about their past's and good time's and having more fun than they had in the past month's. At one point Cutter won the chips and Jeremy won the cookie's, with Cheryl complimenting the wolf for his skill's, giving him a nervous but happy smile while the golden pup giggled as Luke ruffled his hair and teased that he must have sneaked some card's under his sleeve's, and being good sport's, the kid's shared their prizes and went another round of playing, just having fun.

Life in this dead world is going to get harder as time goes on, but right now, it was about having fun and remembering the good thing's in life and that life itself can be good again. This was proven when these four dogs slowly but surely became a family amongst a strong pack they have formed."
