For some reason, Light wasn't as engaging to me (perhaps I have to read it again, maybe slower, or think more as I go along, as these usually do the trick for anything). And I am a sci-fi fan, aliens and the supernatural are a nice field to read.
I don't know...and I'm not sure what to request, or suggest to make it more convenient for myself (as I am in no position to do so). I'm not sure what's missing. It's not boring, no, it feels empty around the middle. Like, the unanswered question in a movie that they just never return to.

But I did like the ending. It was sad, imagining the lonely walk home, taken by invaders and no one would know. but the person taken knows everything about it, even as he's traveling up and away.

Not quite the same as the previous ones, not as dismal dark. The point of view has this confidence, that he's right, and that the world will know soon enough.
Then again, that final image makes it seem just as dark, the loneliness, the loss.
It might have come out a little better if you had emphasized the fear a little more.
