Eternal Fugitive
A Slice of Life Story About a Boring Person's Mundane Life Becoming Mildly More Interesting
Poorly Written and Pretentiously Pseudo-Philosophic Post-Transformation Furry Cringe
Preface & Chapter 0: Starry Expanse

Overview over the whole story:
Post-transformation slice of life.A young man in modern day Germany mysteriously and suddenly gets turned into an Avali and now has to live with it. Both a lot and surprisingly little changes in his daily life.
The narrative focuses on post-transformation (the actual transformation itself isn't even described) and follows him through initially dealing with his new body, its senses and needs, and, later on, "normal" daily life.
A handful of other people also transformed into various beings and society is unusually uncaring and accommodating.
Excerpt from this chapter:
We sat in silence for a minute longer. I looked up at [my sister], then at the sky. "How do the stars look?""Huh?" She looked down at me, then also up at the sky.
"What do you mean? Like stars. The way they’ve always looked. White dots," she stammered.
"How do the stars look?" I repeated, this time slower and more deliberate, "it's been so long."
She looked at me again, more confused. I didn’t return her gaze.
"Oh... Ohhh!" she muttered under her breath after a few seconds when she finally understood what I meant. Her gaze returned to the sky.
It took a solid minute of thinking for her to begin whispering: "Like... Like an endless, dark sea where... No...
L-... Like an infinitely large tree's canopy. A canopy spanning from horizon to horizon, blocking out any and all light from above. The canopy is slowly swaying in the cosmos' lazy breeze. Its leaves rustling and moving, randomly parting and closing to let brief rays of light deeper into the canopy. Some illuminate colorful leaves of which we only see the remaining light shining through. Very few make it all the way through, all the way to us, allowing us a glimpse at the sunny day that lay beyond the canopy."
I didn't respond. I imagined.
Word count: I aim for each chapter to have around 5000 words (except chapter 0, which sits at just under 700 words).

Notice:
Eternal Fugitive will be the only TF-content I intend on creating for the foreseeable future. If you're here from my other art and dislike this sort of content, feel free to ignore this (however, I'm happy if you give it a read regardless).
If you're here only for TF-content, I'm sorry but you won't find anything more than this story in my gallery (however, maybe you'll enjoy my usual art regardless).
Maximilian Schröder and the story of Eternal Fugitive were created by me.

hmmmmmmmm, most of that chicken scratch is written up to down then right to left, like tategaki. The signature like line is right to left then; up to down? The patterns in the text didn't seem line up with what I would expect from a typeface swap until I placed it gedit. Breaking up that single column into something I could read was quite the endeavor.
It's English just with the Avali-Scratch font; the columns are read from top to bottom, the line at the bottom is read from left to right.
I haven't quite developed a phonetic script based on Avali-Scratch or Todd's Avali-Core,even though I kinda want to.
Though, I could've also just written in a different language. ;)
