“Hi, I’m Ayla. I used to not see myself as a pokemon trainer, and definitely not a Team Rocket grunt. But after witnessing a juvenile crime carried out by two grunts in my hometown, Saffron. I set my mind to something that might be out of my reach. I joined Team Rocket, soon after that incident, when I was fourteen and was renamed Ai. Sure they think I’m their minion, but I plan to stab them in the back when they least expect it. Team Rocket officials gave me a quiet zubat, who I named Dagney. I befriended a jolly gastly in neighboring Lavender Town, who I named Lust. I found Rin the charmander in a nearby cave, abandoned and frail but filled to the brim with bravery. These three make up my friends, my fellow pokemon. Besides the heroic but distant goal I have to take down Team Rocket. I’m searching for something. I, myself, am not even sure what it is. But I have a gut feeling that it’s out there somewhere and that I’ll find it.”

Ai (or Ayla) is a tad naive when it comes to her goals. She would prefer to resort to her fists rather than pokemon to fight, but that’s just not how things work. She’s a determined individual that tends to follow her instincts.
