Knuckle Joe's Mother Marian and Waiu just finished battling each other. Even though they've been rivals for a long time, Marian thought that Waiu would be a perfect sparring partner to her and her only son and she felt that he could use a father figure to him too. It is hinted Waiu is having feelings for Marian.
