For this entry I looked to the Deep Lore, in the secret histories of the world.
This forbidden recipe comes from the Necromunchicon the third recipe book in the Chuthulu line
The first the necronomnomicon being a general evil cook book, the second being a cocktail book, this last one is a more snackish book of party foods, from salty to sweet
meant to look like crude effigies of their dark robed but cream filled leaders
so gather round at ~faccc2 and be one of us
Cultist Delights
Chocolate dipped bacon wrapped cheesecake bites
Ingredients
4 oz room temp cream cheese
2 table spoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cups whipping cream
1 to 2 cups chocolate chips
1 pound thick cut BACON (honestly having done thick cut its not bad but I think regular cut might work better for a crispy crunch)
steps
1 preheat over to 400 degrees
2 in the wells of a muffin tin form 2 inch rolls of the bacon using toothpicks if needed to keep the shape
3 bake for 15 to 18 minutes till the bacon crisps and can hold its shape
4 while the bacon crips cream the cheese with cinnamon and sugar until well blended
5 beat the cream to stiff peaks with an immersion blender or hand mixer
6 fold the cream cheese mix into the whipped cream gently
7 remove the bacon from the oven setting the rings to drain on paper towels, and removing any toothpicks
8 pipe the filling into the rings filling completely and allowing a flume to over fill the bacon
9 melt the chocolate chips (you can do this in the microwave 30 seconds at a time or place a metal bowl in the still hot oven)
10 dip the bottoms of the filled cheese cake bites into the chocolate and set to cool on a sheet of parchment paper
11 refrigerate for 10 minutes... but you will serve forever
these were fun, and I quite liked them I liked the ones that had the thinner slices of bacon more, so if I do them again I would use regular cuts. The fox though didn't like them the juxtapose of salty sweet, and savory bacon kinda messed with his head as any eldrich snack food should. he couldn't handle it so I might not actually make these again but I did like them
