Learn how to make jungle on a tracker (like Renoise, or if you want to be more traditional something like OpenMPT,) get some old sample packs, ZEROG for a start, don't be afraid to clip, bitcrush, timestretch the shit out of them; experiment, go crazy. Listen to good old pre-97 jungle for some inspiration. If you want a darkcore sound get some reese basses or a wubby bass, avoid reggae samples and instead abuse the shit out of mentasm, horror flick samples; in general don't be afraid to give it the techno treatment.
I'll look into that asap and it sounds like you are good at finding potential in other sounds and stuff that might work for you. You're the first person you give me advice, so sincerely thank you. I'm going to make this music passion more than just that, and I'm going to keep track of the people who help me get there. I appreciate you and your willingness to help someone. By chance, would you have insight on what kind of equipment I might want to look into as I progress too or anything like that? Maybe some music concepts I'm not familiar with? Even Reddit pages or discord groups that you've passed on. Some legendary music pulls from other songs that people don't realize. YouTube videos or other media to look into, I'll do it. I want to put in the work. I'm literally at the beginning stages of this music career. I think I need to worry about putting in the time, getting used to FL, and getting comfortable. I hope I'm not coming off as 'gimme gimme gimme' but I really want to make this music thing work. I'm like any other inspiring 'great'. I want to talk to people who are ahead of me on musical journey, trying to get knowledge and guidance and pay my dues when I've finally made it. I'm going to make it.
