I like this, it makes me think about the gladiator shows in Rome. I'm usually one for fight scenes, but the way you skipped it was alright with me. I was wondering how you would executed that part, but it's ok. I really like the sound of this, continuing would be awesome! :D

But I think it would have been nice, since his monstrous opponent had no name, if you capitalized the 'T' in the 'thing' and the 'B' in the ;Beast'.
