After Bold's death, his mate, Whisper, gave birth to two cute little fox cubs. A little male and a little female, they resemble Bold and Whisper's colors, but they also have their mother's black ears. Whisper was of course very happy that her cubs were born in a quiet and safe place in Bold's birthplace in White Deer Park. Bold's parents and siblings were also very happy for Bold's mate, and that Fox has become a proud grandfather to Bold and Whisper's cubs.
Even Vixen is proud to be a grandmother, but still she is a little sad that her son died after they found him and talked to him for a short while. But she and her mate, Fox, still knew he did the right thing to bring Whisper and her unborn cubs to safety and will always remember how good and brave he was. And that he always cares about himself and his family and friends.
But right now, the night has come, Whisper has just fed her newborn fox cubs who are sleeping close together and next to their mother. Whisper rests for a while, before Vixen comes to look after the little ones, while she can go hunting with Fox, Charmer, Friendly and Ranger a little later tonight.
Whisper looked at her cubs and smiled with pride, but she couldn't stop thinking about her beloved Bold so much. When she thinks about how hard and cruel his life has been, before they meet. And when she found out the truth about Bold's life and where he came from, they eventually fall in love, she accepted him as his mate. With all these thoughts about him, she felt sorry for him, causing her eyes to fill with tears of sadness.
She cried a little quietly, so that her children would not hear and be awakened. But after a while later, Vixen came to Whisper's fox den, but she also hears how Whisper crying and sobbing quietly inside. Vixen became worried and walked in and sees her eyes closed, but still tears run down her cheeks. Vixen understood what was going on in Whisper's mind and walked over to her daughter-in-law and licked her neck and dark red fur and trying to comfort her as much as possible.
Vixen: "I know you miss Bold, Whisper. Because we miss him so much, too."
Whisper's eyes opened wide and looked at her caring mother-in-law.
Whisper: "I know you all do, Vixen. But I wish he was here to see how lovely and sweet his cubs look. And how am I going to explain to them what happened to their father, anyway?"
After she asked, she cries again. The vixen smiled a little and furrowed her brow a bit sadly and nuzzled Whisper's left cheek calming her crying down.
Vixen: "You'll have to wait until they're big enough in due time. And then you, me and my mate will explain to your cubs about Bold's life and fate. Right, Whisper?"
Whisper: "Yes, absolutely, Vixen."
Vixen: "And besides, your cubs must feel happy here in White Deer Park. And my son wants that too, Whisper. Bold really wanted you and the children to live very happily here in the nature retreat and with us in our family and friends from the farthing wood."
Whisper's eyes now begin to subside with her crying tears and listen to what Vixen says with her soft and kind words.
Vixen: "I know you'll make it, Whisper. You'll be their best, caring and loving mother. And we'll help you and take care of your cubs when you're out hunting, of course. Believe me, Whisper. It'll be alright and I'm so sure Bold sees his cubs from heaven, aren't you, Whisper?"
Finally, Whisper began to feel happier and a little relieved at Vixen's words. But she wiped away some of her tears on her cheeks with her right paw and smiled a little bigger at the Vixen.
Whisper: "Yes, Vixen. And you're right. Thank you."
Moments later, Whisper went out hunting with Fox, Charmer, Friendly, and Ranger, while Vixen sat at the fox den's opening guarding her cubs, smiling at her daughter-in-law who has gotten a little better now. Whisper has long since lost her parents and siblings, despite being a town fox and living alone, she was happy to meet Bold, then becomes pregnant and is taken to the nature reserve.
Admittedly, she thinks about Bold a little sometimes. But of course she has to make sure that her two fox cubs live very well and very happily in White Deer Park, together with Bold's parents and the family who are so kind and helping Whisper and her lovely little ones.

It's a lovely drawing you've done. And it was a beautiful story you have written that I almost started to cry. Sometimes you wish Bold wasn't dead in the last episode of the TV series The Animals of Farthing Wood season 2. Then he and Whisper would have been allowed to live together with their fox cubs in the white deer park.
