This is a badge I ordered for pick-up at the now cancelled Carolina FurFaire convention. The con has been plagued with problems since its founding in 2020, none of which are the fault of the staff (who also run the excellent con Bewhiskered). They just had the misfortune of bad luck and picking the wrong venues for their event. I had fun during the virtual year, which was the only time I've been able to go.

I hate to say it but I'm not expecting them to be back next year, especially if the area around Bewhiskered hasn't recovered from hurricane damage by next spring. Eventually they're going to have to choose which con to put their resources into, as one of them is going to start eating into the well-being of the other if they are trying to get each con to support its sister event instead of itself. You can only throw so much money into hosting events that don't happen, y'know?

Anyways, this is the artwork for a badge that is actually a glitter shaker. Kinda hard to scan something like that so I'm posting the artwork. I actually saw them at Megaplex this year and admired their craft. I really love seeing interesting "unorthodox" badges that do things a little bit differently!
