Here we follow Stormy, completing a journey deep into The Scar, where she finds something quite surreal -- a city, surrounding a mechanical tree. Despite a more steampunk aesthetic, it has trademark signs of runes and runestones dappled around -- more "magicpunk" than steampunk. Surrounding this city is a dome, dappled with runes and seals. It seems that whatever is shielding this city is staving off the mana-rot that plauges the rest of the scar. Greenery only within the shield and vaint traces of mana seeping out, quickly getting extinguished by the dead land around it.

Was this place the cause, or is this an oasis making a last-stand in a dying landscape?

This was the prompt for "Trek". I felt that stormy trekking across the scar on foot made it an appropriate piece. I'm still not great with backgrounds/composition, so I definitely couldn't do the city the justice I'd like, but that's to be expected given how little I've practiced environment design going into this.

Happy with how stormy's hair turned out from this angle. It was hard, but hey, it worked out. I also decided to draw an outfit on her. Not sure how I feel about this outfit choice, but I think it's fine since her clothes aren't the primary focus. I think this is one of the first outfits I've drawn on this page other than the thumbnail sketches and the "Exotic" prompt the other day. I want to try pushing myself to do more outfits

Also I managed to finish the sketch in just 45 minutes instead of being right against the time limit :D I think I might be getting mroe efficient finally. Gonna keep at it (I'm glad it was faster today, since I don't feel particularly good today)
