Name: Bert “Sherbert” Daiki
Species: Hippopotamus

Appearance:
-His underbelly and small speckles on his body are a lighter color of orange than the rest.
-Red w/ orange stripe gym shorts
-Navy blue w/ red stripe zip-up hoodie
-White tank top
-Floofy hair on his head and on the tip of his tail
-Perpetually looks very smug, with a dumb grin and half-open eyes
-Has very thick neck folds, typical for a hippo
Personality: Very sarcastic. Chill vibes only. Doesn’t care what random people think of him. A bit greedy sometimes. Likes to see progress, no matter the speed. Pessimistic. Has people skills. Can be quite lazy.
Facts:
-Bert is the fella who calls orders and manages the flow of the kitchen at “Barn’s Buffet Palace” and is Pate’s coworker, they take their lunch breaks together.
-He lives with two roommates in a flat in the middle of Obi City, a binturong and a corgi!
-As his name suggests, he absolutely LOVES sherbert ice cream, specifically mango sherbert. More vaguely, he likes any food with fruity flavors.
-He loves parties and can get a little rowdy.
-Cold is never a problem, he has an extremely warm body temperature, he is able to dissipate his temp by eating/drinking cold stuff.
-He has a slight interest in painting.
-He likes to bump things with his hips.
-Being a hippo, he’s an expert swimmer, but he prefers to just sunbathe whilst floating on the water.
Backstory:
Ask Bert about his life and he'll scoff at you and say “uneventful”. However, he had quite the interesting upbringing. His father often traveled the world, bring Bert with him. He saw the world, but didn't think much of it. Bert would often wish he could visit for a while in the places he went and get involved with the people there, to learn about them, and not reduce every location to just a pretty view. He liked being a furry because of the nuances that it had. He was so caught up in meaning that when he eventually was offered to become an anthro, he couldn't think of a species to be, too busy contemplating the world around him rather than himself. “Uh um… hippos are cool! Yea.”
