Once again we find Proteus in trouble! This time he faces the evil of Scaelor! And never has a fouler reptile graced the earth; as always he is up to no good and plotting the destruction of humanity (and probably some fish folk too, along the way). Only Proteus knows of his evil plans. But now, somehow, he has fallen into the clutches of a most ruthless predator!
Irony is not lost on Scaelor and he finds delight in letting Proteus starve for water by imprisoning him in a sealed bathysphere, locked inside like some kind of horrible reverse fishbowl of death! Is there no hope for our hero?!
Note:
Proteus has been updated and boy did he need it. The comic format is still retro though, because I love it so. ;) But Proteus has a new look. Let’s hope that he can preserve himself and escape the Bathysphere of Death! *gasp*

Many thanks for sharing your fishmen with me and more!

And, just so everybody knows what we're talking about, here's some big, beautiful, black-and-white fish-men I've been able to find online:

Well well, it turns out -- and this I've only just discovered in the last few minutes -- that the entire fishy story is available online!

Gotta love a good bit of retro!
And if my knowledge of vintage heroism holds up, Proteus and his stylin' Hulkpants'll be out of this jam before you can say "shark-repellant Batspray".
However, if my knowledge of your style of writing holds up, Scaelor has something else in mind...

However, if my knowledge of your style of writing holds up, Scaelor has something else in mind...
Playing with his prisoners like a cat toying with a mouse, putting them through deathtrap after deathtrap, wearing their resolve down until finally he can break them with one final delicious act... then begin the delightfully evil task of subverting the once noble and proud figure into a apwn of his own nefarious schemes...
Looks good while doing "down"? I could find a hidden pun in that, if I had a wicked mind. ;) Well you know that Proteus will escape! I mean he's the hero after all. Hopefully the evil and most sinister Scaelor will not "toy" with him and do something....unnatural to our poor fishman!
Much thanks for the comment. I'm doing my best to improve anatomy and Proteus is trying to strike a noble pose. Hero and all that. ;D

Yes, absolutely!
You know, Scaelor looks like quite a handsome reptile too (is he a dino?) I wouldn't complain if he were to end up getting a similar treatment, minus all the peril of course, since heroes go by the book! He'll be served justice in some interesting way, I reckon. ^..^

You know the 'hero' code so well. :) I'm pleased that you noted Scaelor. Yes he is a dinosaurian, a wicked beast but I have NO doubt that he'll be brought to justice and probably tied in bonds of the most firm (but gentle) kind. After all, dinosaurs are best served up "restrained". ;)
