Well, this is my entry for Black Vixen's contest! Ashura and Ashura in her wolf form are both © Black Vixen Studios, and Silas © Tokyo Wolf.

I thought I'd try something a bit different from what I'm normally seeing Black Vixen doing, while mixing in a bit of the commonly seen theme of dark, rich feelings and deeply-felt emotions through expressions. I also included my one-liner phrases in hopes to add a special touch to a hopefully-moving picture. I've been meaning to do a picture for Black Vixen for quite some time, and it wasn't until earlier last night I noticed that there was a contest in place! =O So! I summoned my Muses (I call them Serena and Miranda. ^^), and threw something together with the first few thoughts that came to mind. ...Although, I needed a few ideas, so I took a look through Black Vixen's gallery to see if I could dig up something. Also, I needed to know what Ashura's outfit looked like as a human, likewise who Silas was and what he looked like as well. Since there was only one picture of him, I did what I could and *pant* HERE are the fruits of my labour! ^^ I *LOVE* Black Vixen's art, much more than anyone else's here on Deviant. I just hope that this picture is even worthy of being considered a "tribute" to Black Vixen. I'm hoping it'll also be a good contest piece entry as well, 'cuz I most DEFINITELY have a request in mind... TwT

Pine trees are common where I live, so I threw a ton of those in there--added some clouds to make the sky a little less blah, and... *gasp* SPARKLY STARS! I love drawing sparklies, and figured that what this piece needed was a good sparkly touch-up. My biggest problem was contrasting differences between all the grays, since I was using gray scale, so I'm sorry if it's hard to see!!!! TwT I'm very proud of the background--it's possibly the best one I've done in gray scale since the picture Fly Into The Night for Corillion. The trees kinda look like seaweed or some weird exotic bush, so please excuse my lack of leafy vegetation... TwT I'm planning on a coloured version of this picture some time soon--once my computer gets working again since the motherboard's fried... But until then, mommy's computer will have to do...!
