Thanks. I've been practicing my post-apocalyptic skills since I was a teen. Time to go out and rebuild the world. I'm writing a story about a virus that attacks the mirror neuron system in people's brains causing them to overreact emotionally and kill or commit suicide, leaving only people on the autistic spectrum.

I have a Furry version of it with gene therapy gone bad, reactivating old genes, including lemur muzzles, ears, and tails. People change gradually, as cells regenerate, in a cascading effect. Reversions of vital systems are fatal, so the survivors are the ones with superficial changes, but retaining human brain, major musculoskeletal, and organ morphologies.

Both are told by the survivors, reflecting, each in their own style, and I've used the same chapters in both, with only minor adjustments for the difference in story line.

Ooo, wow, that sounds like an epic story indeed! Even though i'm not a huge fan of the gory aspects of it most of the time, this story of yours sounds really interesting! I would like to read it once you get it out there!
