
This was the dining hall downstairs. Some of the beams had a hand hewn look. No idea if they really were or if it was an effect given to them by a machine. The lights down here were also nice. Not sure if they were original or not.

I'm 100% agreeing that those main timbers at least, were hand hewn. You can't replicate the axe marks/grooves via modern day milling/sawing, and it gives any structure having them an extra-special sense of 'Time/Endurance,' if-only because they're still standing so many years (Centuries in some instances).
