Red Devil (Video link in descrip.)
This is well worth a watch ME FALLING OFFF! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD1KQSrBYjk
I've not fallen off for about 3yrs and the first time I've fallen off Ned, so it was kinda a bummer. Also spent £17 just to fall off :\
Still, I've not lost a single ounce of confidence on him, I'd get on him and do it again in a flash, I just couldn't afford more classes.
I still love my psyco Red Devil!

Thanks :D He's so pretty! Such a far cry from what he used to look like! He was a scruffy little thing, with a lump on his nose the size of a golf ball and plenty of scars!
And he's just being naughty :P he does it far too much and it's so annoying XD If he was a bit more sensible, he could really put those movies to good use in dressage!

His (current) owner saw him at a sale and he was THE most pathetic horse she'd ever seen XD He'd had an accident on the way to the sales, where he'd been spooked in the trailer and somehow got under a metal bar and scraped all the skin off his back. He barely had any mane and he was covered in mud, his ribs were sticking out too! We thought he would be taken to the meat factory if he wasn't bought at the sales.
He's the best horse to ride out on hacks! He's not spooky in traffic and so long as he's behind another horse, he won't put a foot wrong! A 7yr old even rode him the other day.
His problem is being alone in the show ring, he's got seeeerious issues with being by himself D: poor thing!

I've been riding him for about 3years, but for the first year I really didn't enjoy him and was pretty scared of him. But I was made to ride him (through lack of horses) and I really bonded ^^
He's so unconfident and like you said, lost, when he jumps alone. When he gets into it he does enjoy it most of the time, but I could tell we were going to have issues today, mainly because I was not feeling it and the weather really put me off and I guess I transmitted that onto him (it was raining pretty bad and my worst fear is a horse slipping over)
He does love jumping in the school, with the rest of the horses. He rears from excitement, rather than fear :P
He's a much better hacking horse! He's so fast too, he can keep up with the ex racers!

Ouch! D: I've seen lots of videos online and Ned's owner actually had her older horse Dubonnet fall on her and shatter her leg so badly, it's actually a different length to the other now!
Ned's a standardbred and always very very good on his feet. Although it looks weird and his legs go EVERYWHERE (You can see it a lot more when he's actually going forwards in my other videos) he's actually a very stable horse. It's just down to my fears that I didn't push him hard enough and get him around the arena like his other rider Matt did (Who did it with one stirrup after it snapped!!)
