Introducing a character that I originally played as in Divinity: Original Sin 2, Kane the Male Lizard.

Since I can only do so much in-game with a custom character I wanted to expand on his lore and stories by commissioning art of certain scenes or scenarios. Everything will be portrayed as in-game from his perspective.

Prologue: Served as a soldier for the Ancient Empire for several years, left their service after growing tired of being ordered around by his superiors, and later joined a merchants ship to explore the world. Acquired the nickname "Kane" from his human shipmates since they didn't know how to pronounce his full name.

While in a port unloading some cargo a Voidwoken attacked some civilians and he jumped in to protect them. While defending the civilians his source powers manifest and he's able to defeat the beast. A human mother and her child thank him for saving their life while an old dwarf beggar simply grunts. Later that night he's summoned off the ship and accused of sourcery by Magisters after the beggar turned him in for a reward. Not wanting to cause a scene he allows himself to be arrested and is sentenced to prison in Fort Joy.
