I was inspired by the fatty kangaroo art of the lovely FloydKangaroo , and I decided to do a little Heftoon featuring his big-bellied kangaroo fellows, particularly the lazy, fattening habits of one spreading to the other… It was lovely drawing these fellows and studying his lovely style. I’m a huge fan of the way he draws his bellies and faces, his characters have some really lovely designs. And, of course, it was great having an excuse to draw some chubby kangaroos.
