Skyrim's loading screens contain some very shrill warnings about how the return of the dragons will mean instant slavery for all. However, the in-game lore paints a very different picture - where men chose to worship the dragon race, and that for a long time both sides had a good thing going... until someone - most likely Alduin - got greedy and wrecked everything.

So, here is a portrayal of the mighty dragon Fahdonmul back in the good old days when he was fawned over and given scritches and gold by adoring khajiit worshippers. I particularly like how the Dragon Priest robes look on a Khajiit, but it also makes a nice change to see a Skyrim dragon actually looking happy.

Of course, all this went to pot when Alduin started saying he was God and the Dragon Priests started enslaving everyone. (Note: The priests actually did that stuff, not the dragons - and once their dragon overlords were murdered, the mortals simply started enslaving each other anyway.) Fahdonmul has never forgiven Alduin for robbing him of his worshippers, hoard and scritches.
