This is the full size version of my current (as of 10/11/2024) icon! It did originally have lineart, but I decided that it looked better without it. Now, for the symbolism behind all of it!
First, the heart shape in the center. All of the previous iterations of this symbol have always had a heart at the center, and I wanted to keep that going! The purple and green are my favorite colors, and its meant to have a space dust sort of look to it, cause I love space.
The cut-off star shape behind the heart is based off of Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark from MLP:FIM. I grew up watching MLP, and it certainly has influenced the person I am. I know people have issues with certain parts of the MLP fandom, but basically every fandom has its bad apples, so i simply choose to ignore those sections, and focus on what makes me happy. The show itself certainly wasn't perfect, but nothing is perfect! The star also works as another sign of my love of space, and it can also be seen as a symbol of magic and fantasy. The colors are simple - just my two favorites again.
The two colored pencils represent my love of art, and love of drawing and creating. They are also my most used tool with traditional art, other than pencils and pens. The turquoise one represents my mom, who i love to the ends of the earth. I choose a dark blue to go with it, since to goes nicely with the other colors, without being repetitive. The pinkish bits at the ends are just erasers, since the pencils looked kinda naked without them lol.
The wings at either side symbolize freedom, lightheartedness, and my imagination taking me where it will. I put turquoise with the purple this time to symbolize my mom and I, as I wouldn't be who I am today without her. And, again, with the space theme. Can you tell I really love space?
Finally, the rainbow infinity ouroboros at the center. The rainbow infinity sign is the most commonly accepted symbol of the neurodivergent community, and serves here to represent my autism, and how it is an integral part of who I am. I choose to also make it an ouroboros to represent my struggles with depression, anxiety (social and general), and executive dysfunction. Always taking two steps forward, and one step back. But even a single step is progress, and any progress is worth celebrating. On a lighter note, the ouroboros also just represents my love of snakes. Snakes are cool.
Sorry for basically put a novel down here haha. But if you choose to read my ramblings, thank you. <3
