An upscale of the popular Estes Interceptor. This one flies on 24mm motors like the D12-3, E9-4, and E12-4. As we recall, it tended to pitch over on the E9. At the national meet in Muskegon, MI, when launched on the E12 motor it soared! However, at ejection the shock line snapped and the airframe bounced off a pop-up shelter upon reentry. The nosecone with parachute drifted for a half-mile to the edge of "Big Murky"--the wastewater settlement pond--and couldn't be recovered.
