The celebratory dinner before his crowning should have been a wondrous affair for everyone including him, but Michael couldn't help feeling tense, waiting for his time to speak, so he could let his father and the subjects know what he was planning

" and now the Crown Prince will make his first decree ", William finishes his speech sitting back in his chair and takes another bite of the roasted rat leg on his plate

Taking a calming sip of his Chalice of milk Michael stands from his chair

" people of the great Reptile Kingdom, I stand before you now as your future king, and I am sad to say" he pauses and glancing at his father hate shining in his feline eyes, his father gives him a quizzical look and he turns back to the assembled citizens waiting with bated breath for his speech to continue

" I will not be taking the throne", he pauses to live the room gasp at this Proclamation, and he continues not looking at the audience but staring directly at his father, hatred lining his voice and eyes

" For You See the Old King has made a great betrayal upon his flesh and blood, he has placed a terrible curse upon the throne" he points was one hand to point to the throne, and the eyes of his people turn to its golden continents

" when I sit upon this Throne his beautiful take me, so there will be no King, they will only be him", he lowers his hand from its pointing to the cursed seat and turns his head back to his people, the lonely citizens attended gays at him shock still etching their faces, the relatives assembled glare at his father faces ranging from sad disappointment to rage

" father, why would you do this, I thought you loved us", his sister Elizabeth says tears wedding in her eyes as a rabbit ears lower in despair

" your brother lies, I would never", his father tries to deny the claims but Peter rises from his chair

" he's not lying, I saw a vision of what's going to happen" Peter says in a growl his wings flapping in Rage

" William" Michael's mother turns to her husband, betrayal and confusion in her eyes, she would say something but the shock of it all renders her mute

The room erupts into chatter amongst the relatives and peasants, William attempts to take some calming breaths but the unraveling of his plan in front of him Sparks great boiling rage in him

" silence!" he cries out and there is silence, his first stands on end his fangs extended he takes a deep breath he turns to his son

" Michael poison tooth, you are banished from this Kingdom, from this planet", a chatter barely begins to form before William raises a fluffy finger to silence the room around him once more

"Father", Michael says simply and in that moment the last messages of love he could have for this man that helped in his creation dies like a candle being snuffed out

" you have lied, for that you're banished and denied you're right to be king by first born, another shell take your place, perhaps?" his eyes search his children but before he can say another name to rule the reptiles the one his eyes land on speaks up

" hey you can't just send them off, if he's going I'm going", fhillip says his chest for puffed in anger and his serpental hissing and frustration

" me too" Elizabeth says as well he is perked in Defiance

" I will go as well", Peter the last to speak his feathers are drawn close to his back and he stares his father in the eyes without fear

" so all of my children defy me, to think I thought I could be proud of any of you" William scoffs taking a sip of his carrot juice and gazing down at his children

" fine then, if it shall be like this, then I shall reign for the rest of the time I am able, all of you are banished from this world, None Shall take my throne", and with that he sits and his children wives from the table making their way from the room as the assembled people begin their Rebel rousing again

" this is unheard of, you are foolish brother" Gregor shouts, the spider legs on his back grind together and frustration as he and the rest of William siblings glare at their brother and his foolishness

" like you wouldn't have done the same" William says taking another sip of his carrot juice, Gregor growls his leg thumping hard against the ground, but he does not deny the claims, he would he's just as hungry for rulership as his twin

" husband, you have to lift that curse"

"I will not wife, you heard our son he's not becoming King, none of our children are"

That next morning Michael and his siblings stand in front of the banishment ship, Michael had selected Jeremy to be there servant for their banishment, the Mongoose was still wearing those odd Contraptions in his ears

" so, you think Dad's going to send us to certain death", fhilip questions his ears twitch as he glances over to his eldest brother

" no, he'll probably send us a drift and bring us back when he's beginning to really feel the effects of Aging" Michael answers calming his nerve by petting the glassy-eyed Mongoose next to him

" do you think he'll lift the curse" Peter questions his wings wrestling in the Wind

" who knows, if he does not we'll just let one of our uncles take the throne"

" I hope he realizes what he did was stupid really soon, I don't want to be gone for too long" Elizabeth with the last to speak before they're waved onto the ship by the captain

Michael looks down at the sleeping mongoose, he couldn't sleep, his mind was... Busy. a hand inches close to one of the contraptions, and before he can rethink this decision he plucks one of them out, and soon the other

Frankly the sound of flute music can be heard for the Contraptions now that they're out of their place in ear canal, on Instinct he crushes both of them the sound wakes the mongoose

" what, who are you!" Jeremy questions his eyes are focused again, and fear lines his tone

" I'm certainly not King anymore" he lets out a chuckle, tentatively he tries to put a hand on the Mongoose his shoulder, but the creature backs away and he gives him some space

" what's the last thing you remember before, the flutes" he questions after the Mongoose releases his tensed stance

" I have memories from a childhood to the day of my 20th, on that day I was taken by a creature, I think it was a chameleon, it was disguised as my mother, I only knew it wasn't when I saw her corpse" Jeremy pauses to let the tears flow, the memory is so fresh because of his time was out of mind

" I'm sorry, for everything my family has done to your people, I understand if that doesn't mean much to you", Michael begins he tries to touch the Mongoose again and he is allowed a poor interlocked with another, " but I want you to know, that if the day should arrive that I am able to be king, I will release your people, I promise that"

Jeremy squeezes his paw harder, they look into each other's eyes and press foreheads, Mike was just about to slip out his snake his tongue to interlock with Jeremy's to signify the beginning of courting when the door to their sleeping Chambers is opened and the voice of Michael's second youngest sibling is heard

" Michael guess what we Ambush the captain, now we have full control of this baby" fhilip yeah it was an excitement the captain's hat perched on his head and his tail Wiggles in excitement

" what!, really" he glances over to Jeremy clearing his throat from his excitement and speaks more calmly," well I believe I have an idea to show you that my promise is true" he turned to his brother

" set course to one of my father's colony planets, we're going to show the people a happier way of service" he says the kingly attitude in his voice causes Jeremy to smile, the Mongoose blushes when the would be king of the reptiles gives a triumphant smile down to him, he tries to cover it but a pat on his head tells him that it's okay to blush

" right away your majesty", Philip says mock saluting

Yes this is the beginning of a great Tale, he'll make sure to fulfill that promise, one of his father's called any planets at a time
