Way to make a solid argument in favor of not giving in to potty training. We can also consider all the hassle there is in making it to the potty on time, taking off your clothes, sitting on the potty, and then everything that comes after, which includes remembering to pull back up your clothes, wash your hands, etc.
Yes, indeed. The diaper makes all those extra steps non-existant. Not to mention it usually gets you more attention from those who are caring for you, too. :)

I think a lot of people forget that, in a fair number of situations, our written works are meant to be more than just about diapers and other such infantile items. We have characters who go through many slice-of-life adventures that build upon their respective experiences with the world around them. You've certainly done a great job of doing this with Emmet, Katie, and other such repeat friends who have grown, learned, and played in multiple works.
