Over the weekend I got a comic called Blacksad at RCFM. The art in is is AMAZING and the faces are so true to their species. The artists get all the expressions they could possibly desire out of their characters without making their features unrecognizable and still stretching the faces as well! Idk, I'm SO infatuated with the art, and I wanted to learn how they did some of the faces.
sometimes the best way to learn how something is done, is to copy it. (Not trace) but to redraw it. So I redrew several images from the comic.
