Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS as seen from the Mohave Desert a short distance southwest of Las Vegas. This cell-phone photo was taken about an hour after local sunset on the evening of October 13, 2024, at the same location and 24 hours after the photo shown in submission https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58446518/.
In addition to the comet, the sky includes a couple of airplanes (appearing as trails of light in this 10-second exposure), and the bright star Arcturus near the center right edge. On a nearby highway, the lights of passing vehicles show up as streaks of light. The foreground desert and background hills are illuminated by moonlight.
