I mean, yeah it would warm you up quickly, but if you were too cold then went to heat suddenly it may put you into shock? Then there's the issue of if they need to be let back out to avoid an ending in there, they'll be back out into the cold *and* be wet... Which is even worse technically... XD, hope they're able to actively get to a warm cave or something and not just lie there :P
