-Loathsome Laughs-
no.2: Audrey II - Little Shop of Horrors
When is comes to the concept of horror comedy, very few hit the mark like Little Shop of Horrors. In fact, this would be my first real foray into the genre-(if you exclude things like The Munsters and The Addams Family I suppose) Taking something horrific and turning it on it's head for a lark was something that, unsurprisingly, really stuck with me. It was instrumental in helping me get into actual horror as a whole. If one can believe it, there was a time where the very notion of a scary movie put me on edge. Weird, I know, but I have this and the basic notion of dealing with fear with humor to thank for who I am today and very much the creation of High School Death Party.
All this said, Audrey II is one of my all time favorite villains, aided in no small part to Levi Stubb's bombastic portrayal of the plant. (RIP Levi Stubbs) I love a villain who is capable of being both funny and intimidating and Audrey II really set the precedence for that. Hell, Audrey II is so important to me, I've added the vegetable twice now. Hmm... Audrey II, ranked no.2, appeared twice... I'm realizing a completely unintentional theme here, but with that said, if they're such an important character to me, who could possibly rank above them~?

Little Shop of Horrors is one of my absolutely favorite movies, the music was great, the casting was great, and the story was a ton of fun. It's something that I always find myself going back to... And now I'm honestly genuinely shocked to realize I've never gotten Kyre as a demiplant in the style of something similar.
Though truthfully, playing up the horror aspects of my 'sona is something I don't do nearly enough, be it for scares, for laughs, or just to subvert expectations.
