True, but all the tree leaves should be at the top then, where expending the energy to grow leaves yields them the most energy gain :) As a biologist who works with a pine forest with a very dense canopy (and no underbrush or leaves below the canopy save where the light can bleed through) I just wondered.
It's ground above, like holes in a thick ceiling. Things grow underneath, in the "cave", because the foliage below does get light, water, and care.
Thanks for the technicalities, but its really not needed. This is a fantasy world, a creation from my head and doesn't need to be analyzed ^.^
