Do you have word 07 or 2011?

if you do, i can tell you how to get rid of the question mark things

How?

okay its real simple.

1. Click on the office button.

2. Go down to where it says "save as" and next to it there will be an arrow pointing > that way. Go over that, and you'll see a list come up with a bunch of formats, you want "formats other" click on that, and a window will pop up.

3. you'll see "save as type" go to that, and change it to plain text.

4. Hit save, and another window will pop up.

5. Then this is very important. Check the box next to "Allow character substitution" before you do anything else.

6. Then click the button that says "other encoding" next to the off colored box.

7. Go to that box, and scowl up slowly until you find US-ASCII click that, and hit ok.

It seems like a lot now, but once you get it down, it becomes mind numbingly easy. I can do it in about 8 seconds now.
