Clipz (left) and Curls (right) are two mischievous goblins capable of showing up in just about any setting that allows for their species, though they're most at home in magitek or steampunk fantasy. Despite their contrasting appearances and personalities (not to mention the amount of bickering they can get into), the two of them are coworkers and girlfriends who have stuck together through thick and thin... even if both of them are open to side-flings, either on their own or together with a third.

Clipz is brash, snarky, and shameless, always willing to crack a joke or speak her mind. While usually pretty laid-back, she's more than capable of becoming an excited bundle of energy when the situation calls for it. She and Curls share the same opinions more often than not, but Clipz's complete lack of subtlety or decorum has a tendency to leave her girlfriend flustered, especially when it's in front of clients - for her part, Clipz just finds her exasperation cute. Clipz is an inventor and engineer, constantly building over-the-top contraptions powered by gears, steam, or magic. While her machines are frequently wildly unnecessary and often look and sound dangerously homemade, they have the uncanny ability to function exactly as advertised every single time despite all the noise and shaking parts. Of course, she has a preference for devices that assist with personal hygiene and the like, so anyone trying one out should probably expect a little mechanical manhandling in the process...

Curls, meanwhile, is much more of a "People Person" compared to Clipz - eagerly social, perpetually peppy, and ever-enthusiastic. She's a creative and artistic soul, and quite good at turning on the charm and sweet-talking pretty much everyone she meets. Don't let her bubbly and shallow personality fool you, however - she's actually quite sharp-witted and more than willing to feign air-headed obliviousness to get away with way more than she probably should ("It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission" is a motto she lives by). She gets annoyed sometimes when Clipz's attitude trips up her social game, but deep down, she genuinely appreciates having a blunt and honest partner to keep her grounded when necessary (even if she wants to smack her while it's happening). As a self-proclaimed fashionista and professional hairdresser, Curls regularly puts her social skills to good use while on the job, whether it's providing thorough and in-depth fashion advice completely unprompted or whisking a hapless client away to be her next big project. Suffice to say, her boundless creativity combined with her overwhelming enthusiasm means that anyone paying Curls a visit should expect to be getting way more than just a trim.

Clipz and Curls have both pursued their talents and interests individually in the past, but these days, they've found great success through collaboration. Their current project is Gears 'n' Shears - a salon ran by Curls that hosts Clipz's latest invention, the Marvelous Modular Makeover Machine (patent pending). With Clipz at the controls and Curls making all the important decisions (input from the client entirely optional), anyone who visits can expect a tip-to-toe, magitek-powered transformation in record time!... With only mild discomfort if you try to squirm your way out of it, of course.
