Across Natlan's landscape, saurians of all forms roam both wild and tame. Among them are the yumkasaur, a raptor-esc saurian possessing an affinity for the element of dendro, and a phlogiston charged tongue they can use to grapple distant targets. Tomka is one such saurian, though his origins are mostly unknown.

Owing to the vest and collar he wears, it is safe to assume that he had a human companion at one point in time, but the condition of both articles show that such a time was many years prior. Mostly wild now, Tomka still shows familiarity with the Scions of the Canopy. Despite being friendly with them, he refuses to join them in their home among the cliffs.
