A birthday present for 
jinxyfalina, gifted by the awesome 
easymagicoz (who also thought up the title!). :D
He was a pleasure to work with, and I ended up getting a looooot of fun artistic leg-stretching with this one. The gryphon is based off a lammergeier, which IMO is one of the most handsome birds in the animal kingdom. :'D

Photoshop CS4, Bamboo/Intuos3, 20-30 hours, and probably around 10 pots of coffee. Haha~

The colors are so vivid and lovely, and the composition is wonderful! The characters are so intricate and nicely detailed :)
I see you made an effort to seperate the characters with colored linework, however, regardless of this the depth is a smidge hard to read: making us squint a little longer to take in all the details/make out what is going on. Just my 2 cents, and not a large issue because it is still very stunning.

Yeah, you're totally right.. that was actually one of the things I struggled with (the wing is dark, and Oz is dark... so it's hard to differentiate the shapes). XD Next time I'll pay a bit more attention to the color choices and see if I can't make the outlines more visible.

I feel transported back to a time when true love and fairy tales were all you needed to have a happy life. The starry sunset-like background makes me so warm inside. So hopeful and happy. What you've drawn here is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a long while. Complete happiness and joy is all I feel from this. :333333333
;~; I have been in a horrid mood off and on for the past 1-2 weeks and seeing a gorgeous, sweet painting from you (even if it's not for me rofl) really perks me up. (Thank you? XD) Ughh everything about this is so awesome. I'm especially drawn to the swirly hair, both Jinxy's and the unicorn's. That background, too.. huuu <3
I absolutely love how you've balanced the colors between the two characters. It keeps just enough attention in the central focus, but makes the eye (at least my eye) go the background as a second thought and ITS GORGEOUS TOO!
