Well Skye is definitely showing his more... Hungry side. The way I see it. Skye wants warmth, comfort, and now to help his dad with the match. While tails is gaining weight for his wife and trying to make things more fun this year for her. Also probably for warmth and comfort too. I mean. They are foxes. When winter comes, they fluff and plump up. Skye has both his mother and fathers traits. And I'm sure he's doing this for the sake of helping his dad out. (in terms of his sumo match and other things not related to the book.) And I'm sure tails might have to tell Mina the real reasons later on.
