Sixteenth Lesson - Attacks on the Blade
I think it took me longer to finish this particular lesson because I found a piece of my past in the form of an old friend who might not be there anymore. This is the scourge of growing older.
Per the usual, here is another lesson written in my own style. My object (besides teaching something) is getting the individual to think. Getting involved in something like fencing entails a depth you don't realize until you're struggling to swim.

some fencers fence like that too - they generally lose in the end...
I knew a female sabre fencer long ago. We were at a competition and she was being nice to me because she and her husband were searching for a place to teach and wanted me to invite them to my club. Knowing them the way I did, that did not happen. At any rate, she told me, in order to win when she was fencing she had to become really angry. She then offered to punch me in the stomach.
I politely turned down her offer.
