excerpt from Year's best costume

The annual costume party was in full swing by the time the pair arrived. Inside people were already
having a grand time enjoying the music, the company and the drink. Competition for the best costume
however was somewhat lacking. A good few people had taken the easy route and were simply
dressed up as prominent characters from the series such as Ash, Misty, Cynthia and so on.
Those that had put in some effort were going the same route as Pat and Trevor, one couple dressed
up as a gardevoir and gallade, another man in a rather decent looking lucario costume and one even
in a rather oddly shaped goodra costume. Last years winners were definitely the best of those that
had arrived already, the 3 sisters this time done up as the 3 original eeveelutions: flareon, vaporeon
and jolteon. Any other year they’d be winning for sure but not this time.
The partygoers were quick to pay attention to the duo as they entered, their costumes looking miles
above the rest, much to the annoyance of the eevee sisters. Trevor just ate up the attention, striding
confidently over to the bar while Pat followed behind, somewhat shy at all these eyes on him knowing
beneath the costume he was completely nude.
Both bought drinks and relaxed a bit, enjoying the atmosphere for a while. Unlike previous times both
found the costumes not to be too sweaty, which was a nice change. Although Pat was finding as time
progressed there were spots here and there that were progressively getting itchy and while not
sweaty he was getting quite hot.
