That was the worst night possible for Lorkos and Vritrax to explore those old ruins. They had made all haste to get there because they had heard that another group had already reached them and if they waited nothing would be left for them to discover!
They didn't know that the group in question were Nether cultists, using the ruin where a cataclysm linked to the Nether happened aeons ago to conduct a fool ritual.
And as the cultist finished setting up with the fall of the day, here came the two of them as fresh sacrifices.
Like often when it touched the nether, the ritual didn't go the way the cultist wanted, empowering the wolf and dragon-wolf under a crimson moon into huge lycanthrope before the Nether imposed its influence and twisted them further, robbing them of most of their sanity as they tore down the cultists before walking away to find more preys...
