An Yinglet with webbed hands?
What I would do here is to put an flipper on the end of Yinglet tail and you have an mermaid tail.
But you keep your legs and the thin Yinglet legs should not have a lot of drag if flat along the tail.
You tail would be heavier at the tip but no other downsides.

Would love to know more but guess it down the story line. Webbed feet perhaps but not hands as its make crafting and gripping stuff like spears much harder and with an flipper and an tail who is almost half your body you don't need it. Webbed feet would be control surfaces anyway I think. For then you need to dodge an shark and then cut open it belly with your spear.
