Horrible logic is horrible. You cannot compare humankind racism and oppression to the animal species furries pick as their fursonas on the internet.

1) A person's race is something they cannot help, and thousands of people everyday in REAL LIFE are being discriminated against because of their race.

2) A furry and a fursona are imaginary characters, and people purposely pick out the same species over and over because they find the species attractive, and want to fit in. Plus it's the furry fandom and the internet, not REAL LIFE racism towards ACTUAL human beings.
And before you say we are being "racist" towards "species", if you had read our page, you'd see that we do not hate canines or any species in general. We're just sick of seeing people pick the same animal over and over. It makes to fandom dull, and a little less enjoyable.

If you're doing it 'in an offensive manner' you're not doing any diversity supporting, you're just a group bashing on stuff that's popular. The fact your icon is what it is instead of some diversity supports your groups hypocritical image. Besides, you really think anyone is going to change their fursona's for the sake of mixing it up?

We never said that anyone had to change their fursona. We're simply expressing our frustration with how unoriginal and bland people are with their characters. If they're happy with their fox/wolf fursona, we're not going to try to FORCE them to change it (hence we don't condone in trolling individuals), however we are free to express our opinion, whether it hurts your e-feelings or not.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy in your "mission statement" and your icon, which basically sais "NO FOXES!" to everyone that sees it. You're a bunch of butthurt furries that want FA in your image with no creative freedom in a user's choice to make a character in their own image.

Our group more so implies "LESS FOXES", than "no foxes". Otherwise yes, we would be hypocritical.

Our icon itself does make us come off as an anti-fox group, yes. It's there to imply our frustration with overused animal species, but that's why we have a faq on our page. If you'd read it, you'd see that we are obviously not anti-fox.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I just find it amusing/retarded that a group supposedly supporting diversity is just bashing popular stuff. If your group name was 'Bitch-about-popular-species' then I wouldn't have anything to point out; you'd of mentioned upfront how juvenile this group is.

Yeah i've heard an arguement on second life, how wolves are so over used and huskys are hardly used so the person I was talking to was like 'thats why i'm a husky I want to be unique' ....yeah huskys are domesticated dogs...ofcourse they are going to be used just as much as wolves +1 favourite

hehe i support this group people with a brain can can understand that this group is trying to get people out of the norm not to offend others xd when i was making my sona i wanted to be a dragon but then i thought there way to many dragons plus if i were to be one i had to make it uber unique and so i went with croc and then split that down to change color and some features so i look unique in total :3

I agree with your cause entirely, and kudos! I love the idea of bringing more species into the light of the furry fandom :D
but I think your starting off with a much too negative, methods. I do admit, it's doing a fine job of getting you noticed, but your giving off a horrible first impression. I incline you at least start getting that idea promoting more unpopular species out there soon so this doesn't get labelled as a hate group and crippled from the start ^=^

I'm sorry but I disagree with this page...who cares what people are, when creating a sona it should come from the heart not what other people think. Calling original canines overused and overrated is being judgmental. My sona is a grey wolf and I worked very hard to create him with my artistic abilities and emotions...I guess I'm "Overrated" and "Not Original". in my opinion it is kind of rude to point out to others their flaws in sona choice, others should go with what they feel inside. The way I look at this is that you're saying that others don't have the competency to create their own unique style. Excuse them for not having the "same level of artistic originality that you wish they possess or that you have". Not everyone is "As creative as you!" Canines are original, just because some look similar to one another doesn't mean they are not original. when you look at real animals, any species takes on similarities to one another. It shouldn't matter to you. Just ignore those that "YOU" think are "not original" I think I've said my piece and don't think I'm going to help you spread the word about your frustration, those kinds of feelings should be kept to yourself.

Just to let you know, my fiance and I whole heartedly disagree with this idea. We both have read through the faq or your faq and the way you are stating it comes off as trying to prove that it's a fact... your faq are NOT facts they are simply YOUR opinions. I can understand that there needs to be a little bit of originality, but that doesn't mean that certain species are being over used. Everyone is original. You may notice that there is an over population of wolves, foxes, whatever.... however they are ALL thought up independently and creatively different from each other hence... ORIGINALITY.

I mainly agree with this perspective of thinning the herds a little and having a rather mixed color platte instead of coloring everything in red, white, gray, and brown. It's fine if you choose to have a natural or traditional design for your character, we're not judging you guys it's just that we think it's a little generic and cliche that an abundance of individuals specifically choose certain species because they want to. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just the opium of the masses.

Canids, Felids, Angel Dragons, Western Dragons too, I will admit, foxes, sharks, and sergals. Next up would be otters, but because they're a little bit lower, I'll give them a close call. But honestly, this could apply to any species or fursona, it doesn't necessarily have to imply anything against it in the first place.

I support this group.
