The vulpine leapt lithely onto the stage and landed with expert poise. It was a male fox, Quinn realized, despite his slender build and short stature. One of the desert foxes native to Miltos, his fur was fiery red ocher of the local sands. His paws, ears, and tail tip were dipped in warm ashy black. His tail was as thick and tall as he himself, putting the wolf's to shame.
He was dressed in little, save for a deep red silk wrap fastened by a golden loop snuggly about his hips. Around his shoulders, waist, and hips were draped loose gold chains which chimed lightly as he moved. He wore golden armlets around both his upper arms and matching bangles and bracelets around one wrist and ankle. His left paw was adorned with more golden chains which laced around his paw and looped between his fingers, the glittering of gold contrasting against the soot-black fur of his forearms. Around the fox’s neck, nestled among the golden chains he wore a gilded collar.
