From what was then episode 43 -( in the Wiki it's episode 45 ?) - done in 1986. This was a lot of fun to do as there was no key background for the interior of the alien's space ship, so i got to make-up whatever i wanted.
When i say 'fun' that is within the context that layout artists had to do a minimum of five scenes per day. If we were lucky would have stock animation that we just had to do an new background for, or, vice versa, a stock background we just had to draw new characters for. It bought time do few original scenes. And the crew on Bravestarr were enthusiastic about the show - it was differnent.
Pan from A pos to C pos where someone was in a sort of 'med-bay' bed.
i liked this BG so much i kept the original. But this ain't it . It's in a folder in a box. i was in the middle of re-organizing my studio when it became the storage place of some recycling during the pandemic. So everythings been out of place for the last few years. But i came across some old portfolio xeroxes, pieced them together, did major digital clean-up - painting in tons of white on the dark copies, and then and then colourizing it as the original in light and dark blue pencil.
did all that just now ... so old art newly cleaned-up ?

i loved drawing it when i was an adult - it was pretty different than everything that had been - a hard science fiction universe set in the overlay's of a Western... (Firefly?) ...with a native American lead and his AI sidekick ... Most of the Background department went on to work for Disney Feature. So my little bg here a nod to my everyday friends in the BG dept (i was in a band with a few of them, played a few gigs). A close knit group made Bravestarr - we gave much more than required because we thought it was cool!
Was in my comment : "Pan from A pos to C pos where someone was in a sort of 'med-bay' bed." It's a ' 12 field (size) three field bg (length)' - from middle round peg A to middle round peg C - and a simple pan, no zoom in to a 9 field or zoom out to an 18 field ( i think Filmation only used the larger sized 18 fields on their features ).
i enjoyed being in the animation biz because while i sometimes had to do soulless grunt-work i also had the occasional chance to have fun. To make cool stuff. When it stopped being fun and became toxic stoopid (2001) i took a day job and started just drawing whatever i wanted to.
