There can be only one and there is but one King of the Monsters. Even outside of his title his presence stands above the rest in more than just his height. Godzilla is a cultural that has endured for over 70 years and is still going strong! Not many other things can lay claim to that and even if they some last that long they rarely manage to garner widespread success in the modern era the way the Godzilla has!

This giant nuclear Kaiju has stomped his way into our hearts as both an metaphor for the horrors of nuclear war and as Earth's wrestling champion! (and somehow pulls off both) With such notoriety, there really was only one possible winner for our Monster Mash, however given his longevity he could've easily landed a spot in our next sub-category Creepy Classics as well, where we will be paying homage to the frights of yesteryear~
