With a prompt like "ancient", what better way than to draw out the most ancient being I know?

Adomm. A form-weaving master, borne alongside the universe itself. She has seen the formation of the first bacterium and witnessed countless societies form over ages untold. She has observed planets crumble and utopias burn. She's witnessed the starts, and the ends, of many a being, leaving worlds with naught but her own memories and experiences. A cycle of evolution, a development of education, of advancement and evolution. All to be snuffed out in a single, visceral instant to the most trivial of events.

Does she care? Of course not; that would just get in the way of what she does. And what she does, she does well. The weaving of forms, the manipulation of life. The shifting of species dispersion, the subtle introduction of viral plagues, a slight nudge in the metamorphosis of a culture to help keep up and adapt to an ever changing world. All in the name of preservation. Of the expansion of life.

She is a Gardener, after all. And it is the job of a Gardener to ensure there is plenty of produce available for the upcoming Harvest.
