modest nights bring tranquil thoughts for daydreamers; brevity otherwise tends to elude me. i'll try and make the most of it while it's here. :]
the chocobo strikes me as a humble, hard-working, caring bird -- quick to love, slow to anger, and unflappably cheerful. all things being equal, i would quite like to be one... partially because i aspire to the same qualities, and partially because i find those fictional fowl to be really flipping cute!
thus, christened with a suitably goofy nickname suggested by ever-clever

La-La-Lana, you did a great job with this. I'm glad you're friends with DNA and Thani. Plus it's fun to read what you write because you can be almost poetic.
Some particular things I liked here: musculature has always been one of the strong points of your work and although you didn't go out to the extent you've used in the past you still did a great job defining her muscles and making them look right on her frame. You used a very natural/casual pose for her and I think it works well in this image. Another thing you did very well was anthropomorphizing the Chocobo species while still keeping it identifiable. This especially goes for the shape of the head and the beak; I'm very impressed you conveyed emotion with her face so well without changing her beak or anything.
