I like the happy expression, maybe a bit more relaxed looking.
And i like the red and black plaid blanket. Despite the ref, would you make the darker fur on his arms and legs more black in color?
The image of the YCH character looks puppy-ish so you could draw the kitsune with just about 3 tails curled to his side, as though thems were his younger days.
