Only five years later I finished reading the remaining small part of the Journal for the first time and the last page touched me in some special place in my soul. At some point I saw how Ford's instructions flowed into Alex's instructions for his readers. Such simple, but so powerful, such bright and kind wishes, as if Alex Hirsch hugged me through the text and gave me such an incredibly powerful confidence in the power of kindness, unusualness and curiosity that I want to promise him and myself that I will never lose these qualities.
I am happy as a child and promise to try, even as a conscious adult, never to grow up
