I've never watched or read Tintin but if you were doing the art I would
have religiously. Also I think the pinecone is getting a little too excited
meeting Tintin for the first time, might want to give it a time out! :D

Tintin is very much of the first half of the previous century! I do not fault anybody for not having interest in it. The pine cone may be more surprised than excited; it can be hard to read their emotions.

I have HAD all the books, but my copy of The Blue Lotus seems to have gone missing. I remember at one point thinking it was a big deal to get the colored version of Tintin in the Congo in English, but once I did I actually FORGOT I had it for years. I miss wanting to collect things like that, but probably save money on no longer wanting to. I remember wanting the Franquin Spiro+Fantasio books but nobody bothered to translate them into English until relatively recently, out of order, and mixed in amidst other authors' takes on it.

I had no idea pog was a spirit medium...

To be fair, I initially traced the chair and the globe from a picture of the source comic panel, and I struggled to get the table and wall to look proper, as they were only partially visible originally. Herge (or more likely Edgar P Jacobs) probably did not spend nearly as long getting those bits to look correct as I did and would have only had one layer! I can only really take proper credit for the characters and what the carpet is doing, as the original comic has it laying flat throughout the incident.
In the context of this scene, the fire-lightning ball has lifted the chair and tossed it on to the table, with very little help from pog.

From someone who read the comics, this is solid.
