Kahlu Menkahno was a marine scientist working for the Union exploration division. Kahlu was born on the union colony world Amepha.
His entire childhood marine life fascinated him, making him apply to the Union as a marine biologist.
Many years later while serving on the science vessel Honara on which he came to many newly discovered planets to help investigate the local oceans and wildlifes there.
One most memorable planets for him was the water world 4546B, which by his time has already been greatly researched, but features a kind and vibrancy of aquatic life like no other.
Kahlu lifed a long life. In his older years he began to think about NBUs. A new life..
Drawings of what would later become Archinine began to appear in his files, doodling this creature out again and again that he felt such a connection with. Finally he made the choice to send it to the NBU institution.
On his last day, Kahlu finally saw his new body with his own eyes. Then the next morning, he woke up, in his new life.
While Kahlu was a deer, becoming Archinine he became a carnivore and, well he does love it. While hes technically 120 years old, Archinine feels himself to be about 25. He has the behavior and personality of a 25 year old with the experience and wisdom of a 120 year old one.
Archinine likes to life in the wild, as a part of the food chain in a world, although there isnt really much above him.
His NBU body is highly advanced. WIth his conciousness running on a neutron processor and a deliate and complex processor matrix that make the body feel so real. With damage and issues simulated as pain, low power as hunger and even feel through the millions of touch and temperature receptors across the self repairing hull.
Archinine can spew a high energy beam from his maw and use the wings pieces to form an energy shield around himself but also display effects to mezmerise other creatures.
Archinine is a character of mine i had for a very long time. It was about time to redesign him a bit and make a new ref sheet. Archinine been one of the pillars of me starting to be an artist. He came up in my subnautica face. If you didn't know, subnautica been the single only reason I really invested so much time into art and became an artist. This game inspired me to do so so much.
