He couldn't understand why his friend Klugg told him to avoid the fresh kill. Starvation threatened them like a murderous bedfellow, after all. Such realizations only came for a moment, and then, in a painful bone-cracking and muscle-stretching flash, they were no more!
I really amped up my negative space and heavy contrast inking efforts here, since I'm a huge fan of that style. I think it came out pretty well, but I need to be careful about remembering to feather edges of the shape (like the pectorals and belly vs. the mammoth's left arm). Eager to try this again!
