31 Days of Mpregween Day 30. Lobo aka Death (Straight Up!)
In case you're wondering why the title's little bit clunky, this absolute badass character (technically) has two names! Yes, everyone calls him Death, 'cause that's who he is (straight up!), but according to the credits, his name is Lobo. Now, I get why the credits call him that (lobo = wolf, after all), but my big problem was which name I should go with. If I called him "Death," people probably wouldn't know who I'm talking about, since there are SOOOOOO many iterations of Death in the media. But if I called him "Lobo," everybody would be pitching and moaning, asking me why I didn't call him Death! (Besides, they'd probably think i was talking about the DC Comics villain, Lobo, and he's probably not mpreg material anyway.) Soooo to quote that one girl from that one taco commercial, "Why can't we have both?" (Dammit, I thought the GIF I put there would work. :[ )
Anydangway, if you're wondering how tf this guy is having a kid (since he's by far the most questionable choice in the entire list), Gerplexan has his own explanation. But since you've probaby heard it before, I'll lay down my headcanon. See, I kinda always figured that in every setting that has a version of the grim reaper (including this one), there are probably other gods (sky god, water god, rap god, etc). I always figured grim reapers (or at least most of them) were lesser gods, who aren't completely immortal. They can leave for centuries, or even millenia, but not forever. So since humanity's populations (and all other species, for that matter), was growing like weeds, it got to the point where grim reapers simply couldn't keep up. So it was decided that they had to bear young as well. And they will learn from their parents. I hope to God that makes sense.
Or maybe Gerp's explanation made more sense, I dunno. Whatever floats your boat (no pun intended).
But get ready for tomorrow, 'cause it's showtime! >:3
